There are moments when showing up matters—and this is one of them.
On May 16th from 2:00 PM to 6:00 PM, I will be attending the Douglas County Law Enforcement Appreciation Day at the Douglas County Fairgrounds in Castle Rock, and I want to personally invite you to join me.
This is more than just an event. It’s a statement.
It’s a statement that we still believe in the men and women who put on the badge every day, not knowing what they’ll face—but choosing to serve anyway.

Why This Matters
Law enforcement officers are the backbone of safe communities. They are the first to respond in moments of crisis, the ones who run toward danger when others are running away, and the steady presence that keeps order in uncertain times.
But let’s be honest—over the past several years, the narrative around law enforcement has shifted. Morale has been tested. Recruitment has dropped. And too often, the appreciation they deserve has been replaced with criticism.
That’s exactly why showing up now matters more than ever.
Support isn’t just something we say—it’s something we demonstrate.
What Your Presence Says
When you attend this event, you are sending a clear message:
That you value safety and the rule of law
That you respect those who serve and sacrifice
That our communities stand united—not divided
You’re also reminding officers and their families that they are not alone—that the community they protect stands behind them.
And that kind of support? It carries weight.
A Day for the Whole Community
This event is designed for everyone—families, neighbors, and community members of all ages.
You can expect:
Live music
Guest speakers
Food and community gathering
A family-friendly atmosphere
It’s a chance to come together, meet local law enforcement, shake hands, have conversations, and build real relationships.
Because strong communities aren’t built on distance—they’re built on connection.
My Commitment
As I continue this journey, I will always stand for a law-abiding society, public safety, and respect for those who serve.
Supporting law enforcement doesn’t mean ignoring challenges—it means working together to improve, strengthen, and uphold the institutions that keep our communities safe.
And that starts with showing up.
Join Me
If you believe in safe communities…If you believe in accountability and respect…If you believe in standing up for those who stand for us…
Then I encourage you to come out on May 16th.
Let’s make it clear: Colorado supports its law enforcement.
I’ll see you there.
