America has always been shaped by individuals willing to step forward when their country needed them most. Throughout our history, many of those individuals were not career politicians or lifelong insiders. They were people with youthful energy, determination, and a deep love for their country—people who believed that the future of the nation depended on their willingness to lead.

Today, our country once again stands at a crossroads. Americans across Colorado and the nation are frustrated with political division, rising costs of living, broken trust in government, and leaders who seem disconnected from the everyday struggles of the people they represent. At moments like this, history reminds us that progress often comes from new voices willing to challenge the status quo.
The American Revolution itself was driven by young patriots who refused to accept the idea that their future should be dictated by distant authorities. Many of the individuals who helped build the foundation of the United States were remarkably young. James Madison was only 36 when he helped shape the Constitution. Alexander Hamilton was in his early twenties when he became one of the most influential voices of the Revolution. Across the colonies, young leaders, soldiers, and thinkers stepped forward with courage and conviction to secure the freedoms we enjoy today.
Their youth was not a weakness—it was a strength. They brought fresh ideas, fearless determination, and the belief that the future could be better than the past.
America has always relied on that same spirit.

A new generation of leadership is essential because the challenges facing our nation today require energy, creativity, and real-world experience. Leaders who have worked in their communities, built businesses, served others, and faced the same economic pressures as everyday Americans are uniquely positioned to understand what needs to change.
Public service should not be reserved for those who have spent decades inside political systems. It should also be open to those who have lived and worked alongside the people they represent. When leaders come from real-life experiences—whether in healthcare, business, construction, agriculture, or technology—they bring practical solutions rather than political talking points.
Equally important is a deep love for America and the principles that define it. Patriotism is not about slogans or party labels. It is about believing in the promise of the country and working every day to strengthen it for future generations. It means defending freedom, protecting opportunity, and ensuring that government remains accountable to the people.
The United States Senate was designed to be a place where strong voices from every state stand up for their citizens and help guide the direction of the nation. That responsibility requires courage, integrity, and a willingness to fight for what is right—even when it is difficult.
Young leaders who step into that role carry something powerful with them: the understanding that the decisions made today will shape the country they and their children will inherit tomorrow.
America’s story has never been written by those who waited for someone else to act. It has always been written by those who were willing to stand up, speak clearly, and serve with conviction.
That is why a new generation of patriots must continue stepping forward—bringing energy, determination, professional experience, and a deep love for this nation into the halls of leadership.
The future of America depends on it.
